Kuwait Flour Mills & Bakeries Co. (KFMB) sponsored the Food and Pots Ramadan Expo 2016 which took place at the Kuwait International Fairs Ground on the 24th of May until the 6th of June 2016. The participation of KFMB aimed to promote high quality wide range of national products and expose its main role in enhancing the food security in the State of Kuwait.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Mutlaq Yousuf Al- Zayed- CEO of KFMB stated that the Food and Pots Ramadan Expo is one of the leading exhibition in the food industry in Kuwait. And that KFMB’s booth had set a unique showcase of its high-quality and latest products, Such as : The Gluten Free Products that suits Celiac patients who suffers from wheat allergy as it reduces digestion disorder and flatulence. Also the famous Italian Origin “Biscotti” a combination of specially selected ingredients to provide an exquisite baked biscotti with pistachio. And the Potato Buns, In addition to a variety of whole durum wheat pastas like: Penne, Spaghetti, Fusilli and Elbow pastas. Also the (Totally Bran) Rich in fiber biscuit that helps reduce weight and quickly keeps consumer full.
Ramadan Food Expo visitors got a closer look at its latest cook book titled (SOFRA) featuring (Sanaa) a section highlighting practical techniques in kitchen management. And introducing (4) chapters beginning with (Tubakh Omy) Moms Cooking for innovative preparation of Kuwaiti and Gulf traditional recipes, (Zetat) In a Hurry introducing quick and easy major recipes that can make two or more recipes, as well as a chapter named (Ryoog) Breakfast which provides an innovative variety of distinctive breakfast recipes. besides a special ( Gluten Free) chapter for gluten free recipes specially for patients with Celiac or wheat allergy .
Moreover Visitors enjoyed live cook shows during the exhibition with the presence of famous chefs and nutritionists, In addition of interesting promotions and offers with competitive prices to Meet consumers’ needs and aspirations.
On the other hand, For over 5 decades, KFMB, the National Company will continue to rely on its strategy in maintaining food security of the State of Kuwait. Kuwait Flour Mills & Bakeries Co. become a key pillar and one of the tributary of the industry in the State of Kuwait. as well as the main source of food products, through its different factories and bakeries gaining the ISO 22000:2005.
Worth mentioning, KFMB has nine automatic bakeries. In addition, to the Central Sabhan European Bakery which had obtained the (FSSC 22000:2005) Food Safety System Certification demonstrating the ability to control food safety, and make sure it is safe at the time of human consumption.
